Synopsis

Bored socialite Betty flirts with “poor-but-honest” Dave as a change from her usual boyfriends, then falls in love with him. He wants to become a veterinarian but she gets him to change his plans. Betty then falls in love with Stan and has to think of a way to dump Dave without being blamed. She pretends to be a “cheap, vulgar hussy” so Dave will break up with her. Stan sees her and gets the wrong impression: he breaks their engagement. Betty is comforted by Dave and realises he is the man for her. She even insists he resume his veterinary studies.
