Chapter 8: --Beyond the Gates of Sleep!

Synopsis

In the dream dimension, Wonder Woman confronts and conquers the Shadow-Thing.

Notes

The Shadow-Thing reveals itself as Wonder Woman's "fears" and "self-loathing." The Sandman explains it was a product of Wonder Woman's guilt at deceiving Steve as Diana Prince. The story ends with Steve and Wonder Woman in a clinch, as General Darnell exclaims over the phone that Diana Prince has turned up alive.
