Synopsis

When little Helen sees Indians, Ringo maintains calm by convincing the wagon train she imagined it. He investigates and find criminals trading guns for gold with renegade Apaches prepared to start war. Ringo tricks the Indians by swapping rocks for guns and seeks the help of Invincible Eagle to maintain the peace.

Notes

The signature on this story is dated 1965. This is the eighth Gringo episode. The name 'Gringo' has been accidentally retained on pages 17 and 20.

Cross on the Snow

Synopsis

Two trappers find a cross in the snow. Angry that there is no actual grave, they throw the cross away. Meanwhile, Ringo seeks to help Lou Jones prove his brother Chris innocent of murder, but the man with the proof has hidden it in the snow, marked by the cross. He is captured by the gang responsible for the death and forced to guide them to the cross. Searching for the criminals, Ringo encounters the two trappers who are now the only people able to find the location with the briefcase and proof of Chris' innocence.

Two criminals evade the law by crossing the Rio Grande into the safety of a waiting Mexican gang. The Sheriff sends Ringo to investigate. When Ringo becomes trapped in the home of his friend Pedro, he plots to trap the criminals in their own trick at the Rio Grande.

The Swamps Secret

Synopsis

A photographer captures the moment of a bank robbery, providing a clear image of the robber. Ringo brings in the man in the picture, Rodolfo Juarez, but asserts he is not the criminal. Juarez is locked up, while Ringo seeks out the photographer to find the truth, a trip that takes him deep into the dangerous swamps.
