Synopsis

Kathy, Lew and Bill grow up together in the slums. She is courted by both men: Bill becomes a policeman and Lew grows wealthy via shady dealing. She will marry Bill, Lew will be arrested, and the boy will recover with blood transfusions from his neighbours.

Synopsis

Lorna lives on a farm with her embittered father Ben. Ben refuses to allow his land to be used for a new rail line, and orders surveyor Russ off the property. Lorna and Russ fall in love. Ben’s land is taken and he tries to dynamite the railroad but Russ stops him. Ben realises he’s been irrationally bitter since his wife’s death, and gives his blessing to Lorna and Russ.

Synopsis

Actress Lynn dislikes her co-star Roger; when she overhears him taking a bet than he can make her fall in love with him, she decides to play along and then dump him. However, as they become acquainted, Lynn discovers Roger’s a good man whose public image is a studio creation for publicity purposes, and is even raising his orphaned niece. Roger had faked the “bet” so she’d agree to date him. They will be married.
