A Refuge Divided!

Synopsis

Black Bolt banishes six rebel Inhumans to the un-place for treason. Lockjaw takes them there but on his way back to the Great Refuge, he tangles with the Hulk whom he also takes to the un-place. Under the guidance of Maximus, the Hulk joins the evil Inhumans and they make their way back to remove Black Bolt from his throne. Maximus uses the Hulk to gain access to an ancient power source but even this is not enough to dethrone the silent monarch of the Inhumans. Realizing that the Hulk is an ally, Black Bolt offers to let the Hulk live in peace with the Inhumans but Hulk declines the offer.

Notes

A number of inkers were involved in this story as noted in the credits. Syd Shores involved with pages: 1-20, 28, 32, 34, 39, 44. 46-51. Synopsis

Conan comes across the ruins of the ancient city of Lanjau, where he battles a giant lizard. He meets a nameless mercenary and they both decide to work together in order to retrieve the lost treasure of Lanjau. Undead creatures, keepers of the crypt, try to stop them but are defeated by sunlight. An earthquake buries the mercenary, Lanjau and the treasure. Conan comes to a nearby village, where he once again meets Jenna. When soldiers come to arrest him, Conan and Jenna flee village on horse.

Notes

coloring credits acknowledged by Barry Windsor-Smith in Spectrum Super Special #3 [2005]. Nick Caputo believes that Tom Palmer inked pages 3, 9, 10 and 11, with the remainder inked by Tom Sutton.

Story page count is 20 (numbered) in book, but since pages 12 and 13 are half-pages (shared with adverts), the total comes to 19 pages in this index. In reprints the two halfs are normally joined back into one.
