Armstrong's War Without Tears feature began in the Argus on Saturday 20 September 1941 and ran until Saturday 21 July 1945.

"Grateful acknowledgement is accorded to the proprietors of "The Argus & Australasian Pty. Ltd." for permission to reproduce the drawings which originally appeared from week to week in the "Argus" Week-End Magazine."
