Sport Magazine was one of numerous "proprietors" used by KG Murray, most of which were named after specific publications.

The eponymous Sport Magazine ran from June 1954 to December 1963. With the following issue, its title changed to Australian Sport and Surfriding, which ran until at least January 1964. The Sport Magazine output included a range of sporting and car publications through until about 1973, when Murray titles were overhauled by their new owner, Australian Consolidated Press (ACP).

Between about 1967/68 and 1973, a range of comics was also published by Sport Magazine. Some of these titles transfered from the more common "Colour Comics Pty Ltd" at the start of this period and retained the "Colour Comics" branding, despite the change in the indicia publisher. Sport Magazine's represented a distinct portfolio of Murray's non-DC reprint comics, including Australian work, rare Marvel reprints and material from Spain's Selecciones Ilustradas agency.
