The title of this series could be based on the ACG series Romantic Adventures, although the masthead is modeled on the Quality title Love Scandals. Kevin Patrick suggest romance comics began to appear in Australia in mid to late 1951: 'Romance comics were as controversial (if not more so) than horror comics in 1950s Australia, and were labelled by the press as "sex" comics—so, "Love Scandals" may have been a bit too saucy for the publisher's (or distributor's) liking!'
