It has been reported that this is an Italian series with artwork by Guido Scala, famous for his work for Disney. However, Scala worked in Australia directly for Cleveland on this series. Issues appear to have been published monthly from late 1956 or early 1957.
Basic information on Scala and this series appears to be from Carlo Chendi and Sergio Badino's "Conversazione con Carlo Chendi: da Pepito alla Disney e oltre : cinquant'anni di fumetto vissuti da protagonista" (Tunué: 2006). This reports Scala was born in Turin and moved to Liguria in the fifties before working in Australia and creating Sergeant Bottleneck. In 1959 he returned to Italy and worked for Italian and international publishers before starting to draw Disney characters.
