Notes

Cobbers was a companion publication to "The Triad" magazine that was intended for children aged six to 15, using exclusively Australian writers and artists. It included stories, poems, drawings, games, hobbies, jokes, tricks, puzzle pages and competitions. The first issue included the comic 'Tibby' by Reg Coulter.

The paper was shortlived as The Triad went into liquidation and Cobbers appears to have ceased publication by July 1926. 'Advertising' (14 July 1926). The Sun (Sydney, NSW: 1910-1954), p. 12. Retrieved 22 October 2017, from http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article222726042.

It is unclear how many issues were published--contemporary reviews clearly indicate six issues, with one or two more if the issues were released fortnightly through to July. A review in late July suggests 'comic characters' were included until the title's cancellation. 'Publications Received' (23 July 1926). Kapunda Herald (SA: 1878-1951), p. 3.
